[146] leaves, including final blank. 258x190 mm, contemporary vellum-backed stiff wrappers, covers stained; scattered ink blots and smudges, title soiled with portion of blank upper margin excised. Additional Details

Fair copy of an account of the failed 1745-46 military campaign led by Charles Edward Stuart, Prince of Wales (1720-88), in an attempt to restore the Catholic House of Stuart to the throne of Great Britain. The Jesuit historian Cordara (1704-85) originally wrote this in 1751; it was first published in the 1804 first volume of his collected works.
